Antecedent: The trigger or command preceding a behavior. For instance, if a child with autism struggles to complete tasks, the therapist sets a reward and asks the child to complete their assignment.

Consequence: The result following the behavior. If the child completes the task, they receive the reward. If not, the reward is withheld.
